Suppose the visitors trail 22-17 in a Test. A try draws them level and a successful conversion puts them ahead 24-22. At the final whistle the visitors win the match. A -2.5 handicap on the visitors still falls short.
Use the full points score. A penalty goal adds three points and a conversion adds two, so teams with the same try count can finish with different margins.
A three-way regular-time market pays the draw on a level score at the end of regulation. Check the stated period if a knockout fixture has a separate market for who advances.
