Suppose the home side trails 8-6 after three quarters, then scores three goals and concedes one. It wins the fourth quarter 3-1, but the score after four quarters is 9-9. For a fourth-quarter pick, use just the goals scored since the last break.
In this example the teams scored 18. Over 17.5 goals wins, while over 18.5 needs one more goal before the end of the fourth quarter.
A three-way regular-time market uses the 9-9 score. A pick on who advances uses the outcome of the deciding shootout if one takes place.
