Two wins in the final round can settle differently

In a scheduled ten-round bout, a stoppage late in round ten gives the winner a stoppage victory. If both boxers instead reach the final bell and one wins on the cards, that is a decision. Both examples reach round ten but only the latter goes the full distance.

Does a split decision count as a decision?

Yes. The judges disagree about the winner, but the bout was decided on their scorecards. A pick specifying unanimous decision has a narrower condition.

When is the halfway mark for a round total?

Use the scheduled round length. In a three-minute round, the halfway point is one minute and 30 seconds. Check the official finish time against the line.
